Pakistan medical council PMC now have introduced a new examination for the students of MBBS that all the MBBS pass students of Pakistan will have also to pass the PMC Licensing examination to get licensed for practice. Now all the MBBS students in Pakistan will sit in the examinations conducted by PMC and that examination is named as National Licensing Examination. Before these students can join the house job quickly after the MBBS degree but now they have sat and passed the national licensing examination to get join House Job.

Since this test was for foreign students who studied MBBS from foreign institutes and practice in Pakistan but now Pakistan medical council have decided to take examination from Pakistani students too. This examination condition will be applied to those Pakistani students who will pass the examination after 2020. Students will pass the examination before 2020 will not have to pass this exam. This national licensing examination will be conducted twice a year by Pakistan medical council and failed students can apply continuously till they pass the test.
