Zong and Facebook have come together to connect the unconnected in Pakistan to the Internet with the launch of Free Basics. With this initiative more people in Pakistan will have access to a range of 22 free basic services like news, health, travel, local jobs, sports, education, services for women and entertainment via the www.freebasics.com website and mobile application
In addition, all Zong users will exclusively be able to use the Facebook website and application for free by switching between “Free” & “Data” mode via a toggle button. In the FREE mode, customers will be able to post statuses, likes, comments, chat, check-ins, friend requests, even with zero balance. In order to video richer content such as videos, HD photos and external links, customers can switch to DATA mode and they will be charged as per their data plan.

There is NO subscription required for accessing these services and are available by default to all Zong subscribers.
